I mean, personally, I see him as the kind who completely ignores the "insects". After all you likely don't care about bugs around you, unless of course they do something like destroy your home/food or bite/sting you. They're just completely beneath your notice.
I mean there's an argument to be made that a large excited dog can cause injuries even if it's just playing. A 50lb kid getting body checked by a 60lb fluffy tank is going to get sent flying.
It could be he really does see ordinary people as less than ants. But he also started at that level, and his parents being close to him are exempt from that classification, those who he has no attachments to he probably has no compassion/sympathy for .
It stated in an earlier chapter he left everything in a locker/safe after changing back into normal clothes.
Why hadn't I noticed Chen Zhiqi is cute until just now?
I know it sounds silly, but I hope Chu Lingjun sponsors those 3 kids himself. Given that it's not much money at all and he knows exactly where they're coming from and he has the means to do so comfortably.

Is it just me or does the author imply that Chu Lingjun's parents me be getting... physical? I wonder if he really wants to activate his limited omniscience given how close they are, he's likely to see some things he'd rather not.
Wasn't just a head wound? Those bleeding a lot but aren't that serious
Would you be surprised to find out inbreeding is a leading cause, followed by abuse in rescues. And a lot of the more famously gentle dog breeds end up the same way in the same circumstances it's just usually swept under the rug as "freak accidents" or "anomalies." My family has had roughly 6 pitties from different places and points in time around small animals and kids and never had a single injury... well there was one but it wasn't a bite, my brother was rough housing with a 120lb pibble and it body checked him into a coffee table on accident.
