Well it has been 2 yrs since the original post so I don't recall the exact details. But given the novel and my original post, most likely it refers to the inaccurate chronology. In other words, the author messed up their own timeline.

-sighs- Grade school villain. The story was going so well before this, despite the needless POV jumps.

Glad to see the story continue! So far, every good pet story I have started has either been dropped or lowered its quality to trash. Keep up the good work!

Ugh...do NOT mention that horrid claptrap of an idea known as Speed Force! The Flash comics would have been better off without it. Although, admittedly, it was a better concept than the Phoenix Force...barely.

Where in jell did he get a short sword? Author, please realize the inherent differences between weapons. Alternatively, translator, please be consistent!

How dors swordsmanship equate to dagger usage? They are 2 different weapons used in completely different ways!

Of course he's going to be a main feature of the next atc, it still doesn't mean we need his full history at once.

Not me. This method detracts from the story. More accurately, the timing of it does. First, the enemy should be newly born with this wave since we are only now being introduced to him. If he was born before Anthony (the only way he can be responsible for the demons being smarter than your average monster), we should have been introduced to him earlier and watched him develop over time. Instead we get forced introduction and development. Secondly, Anthony is still a bumbling idiot. He started out a Stealth ant then made choices that completed invalidates his stealth and rhe points spent on it. More importantly, he keeps bemoaning his grip and leg strength being insufficient for wall crawling and deciding to do something about it "next" mutation, yet never does. Finally is the timing. This is the THIRD side story since Anthony started his evolution. It is also the longest and least interesting. So no, I am sorry, I'd rather get back to Anthony and either slowly get the demon's backstory or skip it all together. We didn't get this detail with Garrolash and she was much more.interesting!

No doubt, but building it from scratch after 2 side stories while we wait for Anthony's evolution is... Well it has irritated me enough to just skim the chapters. I would have preferred the introduction be when they actually meet. We don't have this pre-existing detail with any of the other side characters; many of whom I found more interesting. Instead, we get introduced to it slowly over time without taking away from Anthony. That would have been my preference here as well.

Except the story doesn't progress in real time, so no it isn't the "perfect" time to introduce side characters. The perfect time to do so is in combat or other types of action. The story does not need another main character and we do not need to watch the full development of side characters. The Torpor Patrol and Queens discovering sugar were fine. Both were exceptionally short and, in truth, are progressions of stories already embedded in the tale of Anthony and his colony. The new villain, however, could have been introduced when Anthony started exploring the 3rd strata without interfering with the flow of the story like this. Yes, it IS personal preference but if we are honest, so is everything we post. I've barely even skimmed the past three chapters as I find the new villain shallow and disinteresting.

Don't care how long he is here, we don't need this level of detail for a side character. It normally wouldn't bother me much, but the timing is the worst. Anthony beginning his mutation was not a good place to stop and introduce multiple side stories; yet here we are on side story #3.

Or, you know, someone else could win in the meantime, thus resetting the prize. 160+ Int 0 Wis

Hope this distraction ends soon...and is worth pulling away from Anthony's evo for.
