First of al I am really enjoying the fan fic and the world you have built so far, I did get the vibe that you wanted to gloss over some details in the early chapter but it never seemed to me like a hard break more of a skipping the luls during the early years. As for your ask for ideas why not have an adventure to adopt Groot so him and Rocket can be not just best friends in this universe but brothers too you could also give Nebula a proper family as well, mainly cause she gets whacked by the multiverse and deserves to have one version of her who has people to look out for her.

amazing chapter as always, i have been thinking about the power jake should get and I came up with active disguise in which if he dresses up as some one jake gets their attributes while disguised like if a janitor he would know what a janitor would about their job or if he dresses as a powerd person like say spiderman he would also get his powers but only at half the strength plus as a added benifit he can act as if he was that person but only allies can tell that it is infact jake in disguise it was a thought I had if you had not thought of jakes powers yet

Personaly with wishes they can become super OP over time so in that regard I would nerf (like you did with C.O.A.T) them or make it so in order to have the gift he would need to get to a certian thresh hold in power/interlect

Honestly I am kinda sad it is dropped it has a lot of potential and didn't do the whole thing of too powerful too quickly and also gave weight to the characters so that you got invested in their lives, I hope if you deside to keep writing that you keep at it as it shows you really think about the story progression
