this statement i find... not agreeable . it is long time proven that u can apply such high pressure to be able to create a new material having same composition as previously while being on a far higher level eg. water to laser. unfortunately , we don't have any technology economically worthy to be able to press clay to such degree that atoms will be on similar structural distances as dimonds. as dimond atoms have ionization with(idk) levels that make them brittle , clay has advantages but it is soft because of mineral structure
