I am sorry if it upsets you but I like to think that since werewolves are creatures of fantasy. Every author can write it as it suits them. What works for others might not work for me.

They are close friends, Ryder is really attached to Evena. Think about it, growing up, he felt he had no one who understood him and then he finds out Jayden his best friend betrayed him, so the only person he really trusts apart from his mate is Evena. I wrote their relationship to be this close because I wanted to dispel the notion that men can't be affectionate with each other. Ryder and Evena are just friends, Ryder doesn't think of Evena that way at all.
