The writing is fine. But I didn't start reading this story expecting a tragedy. If you want to write a tragedy that's fine, but mark it as such.

He's not much of a long term thinker, harming yourself for short term gains is rarely a good move.

I don't have any issue with the MC fighting in the pit. It's the reason he is doing that I find distasteful. A girl he doesn't know, or even know the name of told him to go fight in a death match, and he just meekly does what he is told. I'd think it was fine if it was Sahra telling him, but not random strangers.

Is the MC going to grow a backbone at some point? He's going into a death match because some girl he just met told him too. He just gets told what to do like he doesn't have the ability to make his own decisions.

If he had a reason to be cruel I would agree with you. But they just like Raas are being forced to fight by the dungeon. So he's being cruel just because he can, which isn't a flaw in his personality but a personality trait. As a reader I don't have a reason to hate these goblins, I want them to lose because I'm rooting for the MC. But I don't hate them, with that being my view point the unnecessary cruelty looks unnecessary to me.

Got to say I didn't like Raas personality shift in this chapter. What was the need for him to become arrogant and cruel? Not to mention forgetting that he was suppose to be helping his friend. Overall I felt this chapter made him look bad.

Lying about it means he has to hide it. how is he suppose to learn to use it if he hides it? It should be one of his basic skills that he uses alot.

Why hasn't he hired security? That should have been the first thing he did once he realized "someone" was trying to get him in real life.
