A/N: According to Halo: The Fall of Reach, Halo: Fall of Reach - Boot Camp, and Halo: The Essential Visual Guide, Harvest had a population of approximately three million. The most plausible way he can exist in 40k is as a saint. Making him Astartes or anything like that would be a waste. I suggest going to mass effect and Independence Day universe or something like that before going to 40k as well. Going the saint route opens more avenues while keeping the MCs current talent set in using cosmic forces to the fullest. It also give him more freedom of compared to an Astartes.
Also since it seems to fit, I took some time to check out Warhammer 40k just a smidge. And I can see the MC going there, but there is just so much lore. Like for real, I spent like hours getting to know some things and still don't know anything. So a good story would probably be impossible, but I could see him become a Grey Knight or even a Librarian Astartes .... who knows? - JohnnyReever1mthCommented

After a while of fighting, the Republic fleet was reduced down to only a handful of ships since they couldn't escape as John had a ship outfitted with a device to stop them from Jumping to hyperspace so they could only fight to their deaths or surrender. - JohnnyReever2mthCommented
