You're a good author, you just chose a bad universe. Sweet Home is mostly about the interpersonal relationship between the different characters, the whole setting and the monsters are just plot points to make it go. So unless you invested more time into socializing it was one of the less interesting settings to choose, which would be hard considering Ivan never talks to anyone without each words carrying an agenda.

Finally, this arc was one of the least interesting things I've read. The powers weren't special or worth the time, he hasn't made any meaningful connections with anyone so there weren't any interesting character interactions other than how he changed the security guard through basic human decency.

IOUs can't be changed or lost, cash robberies only takes the BANKs money. I understand you're too young to use the banking system but you can just ask adults for the info, hell there is a nifty thing called the internet.

Banks insure themselves by paying for it in small payments overtime, insurance companies use that money to make more money so the never be low on cash to someday cover their client.
