mask is the best part
I didn't spend too long on the costume. The end result was a fairly open cosplay of Corvo Attano, though I tried to make the mask less frightening than his — I didn't want to be mistaken for a supervillain. Ideally I'd have found something more substantial, like Daredevil's suit that could take a shot to the head, but I had no idea where to source that kind of material. So I settled for a lightweight bulletproof vest worn under the costume, which was easy enough to buy.

I like the application of necromancy for more than brute strength. ting little skeletons of mauses and such for poison delivery, plague filled bloated sacks with legs to poison wells, gilded skulls gifted to enemies to be placed on their fireplace to listen in on conversations, etc etc. so many applications rather than the same boring "big abominations go brrr", although sheer terror of 10 ton ball of muscles and bones rolling over enemies is quite good as well. also, in simple terms, what's the next book?

found it. they are called limpets, and their teeth are more slresistant than diamond.
Much of what made scales; scales were their pattern. A snail shell however were grown around the body via excreted proteins and minerals forming layered calcium carbonate. Alric added armored patches to his shoulders and chest forming organic pauldrons and chest plate. He reinforced his forearms even further for blocking. The snail shell was far more uniform in color but did seem to make the deep green color slightly darker. The plates would look black with green sheen in the right light. The bands from how snail shells grow seemed to want to remain on the plates despite not growing out naturally. Alric could probably change that but liked the texture.
