What's more, he stared me dead straight in the eye as he said it showing his seriousness. As I stared at him I think I finally understood the difference between the way the Emperor and the way the General looks at me. The General looks at me like he doesn't see me for who I am. When he speaks to me it doesn't seem like he's talking to me more like at me. It's like he sees me as whatever perception of me he has in his mind and imposes that image on me. Then when you don't fit that image he begins to attack like he was attacking me now. - HanzOff_188mthCommented

In two weeks it was going to be the Crown Prince's 10th birthday. The emperor was going to hold a grand ball at the palace in order to celebrate. As it was his first birthday since he came to live at the palace the birthday ball would be held one night and then the following day would be a holiday for the entire empire. My date with Ayan was even better than I expected. I would have never thought she would be so good at cooking. Though I was offended she would think I would have been cruel to her servant, I was even more surprised by the fact she would offer to get in trouble in her stead. He sucks and I wish the ml would just be the emperor who disbanded his harem for his son and regrets his previous actions. Even a commoner can treat Ayan better.
Perhaps it's because when I looked at Ayan now, I saw the version of her that I thought she was when I first fell in love with her. I truly did love this woman before when my harem was formed 2 years ago. Her body was what had caught my interest, I had wrongly assumed that because she was beautiful on the outside that meant she was beautiful on the inside. After seeing her true colors I quickly found her ugly and wanted to stop being around. However, now it really did feel like I was looking at the version of Ayan I'd loved before.
