If this protection not talking trope keeps going on for 100 chapters maxi should just bring up divorce. He doesn’t act like he wants to be with her. Relationships work both ways. She can just say irreconcilable differences, she didn’t give him a child, and he doesn’t want to be with her. As a wizard she can just do whatever whereever and survive. She doesn’t need a husband. She WANTED to be with him. But he doesn’t so why try? She should just study on the island and let him regret

He’s driving her away and at some point he’s going to get what he wants bc what does he even want? Does what he’s acting like seem like he actually loves her as a person? He is not seeing her at all. He isn’t seeing her as a person who loves him and has desires to want to help him he keeps seeing the projected fantasy he has of her onto her and felt betrayed when she is an actual person with the will to do things. I’m starting to question if riftan can actually love her in a way that doesn’t destroy the both of them. Bc if she said yes and leaves what does she have to want to go back to him? When her husband doesn’t want her around? He’ll feel betrayed again. There will be more of a rift. Obviously this is foreshadowing trouble/more war and he wants to protect her but he’s still not considering her feelings or their relationship at all. At some point it feels like they aren’t even a couple. It feels like even if she loves him it does more harm than good and if there is no more communication that can happen maybe she should distance herself from him. It’s agonizing to read how they don’t talk or even make an effort to. I understand that max tried, but if you keep trying and it’s onesided, I would lose hope in the relationship.
