i know im late but after reading a bit, it seems like ap is a form of mana and not a means to upgrade abilities. All those costs are most likely the cost to use the ability and not how much it would cost to upgrade it. That being said its a very confusing way to phrase it especially because it hasnt been explained and we are already used to systems having a scammy power to just upgrade abilities.

3 days! didnt he get like 10 exp for completing a cycle. and that takes like 10 minutes. he did say that he only took three food pills a day but if you burn it all off i dont see why you cant just grind for a lot of experinece

i mean i know not a lot of people will read this. but to be fair they were with each other for a couple months where the girl was dependent on him. the girl probably felt out of place now that she was away from him and misunderstood that as love. as for the whole quick to sex thing don't people naturally want strong genes in cultivation novels. if you want a real life example i guess you can consider her pent up after months of not being able to master bate for a while. just chock something up to your imagination and get over it. or just leave i don't personally care
