Synopsis is a bait and switch. MC's "cheat" is actually his book artifact and plot armor. Everyone is able to figure out the hidden rules, and the hidden rules don't actually give much of an advantage. There are villains and characters that magically power scale to be almost as strong as MC. Whole thing just becomes boring and generic pretty quickly without the cheat.
