Yeah the author ran out of ideas halfway through and took the plot in a very unsatisfactory direction. Ending was one of the worst I've seen.

Synopsis is a bait and switch. MC's "cheat" is actually his book artifact and plot armor. Everyone is able to figure out the hidden rules, and the hidden rules don't actually give much of an advantage. There are villains and characters that magically power scale to be almost as strong as MC. Whole thing just becomes boring and generic pretty quickly without the cheat.

Unfortunately this is one of those "Author wrote China as chad and everyone else as soyjack" novels. Too cringe for me.

No, they're literally different species and taste completely different.

You can tell this novel is going to devolve into cringe from this alone.
