Unpopular opinion, but my least favorite part of this whole chapter was the decision to make Karwenz a girl. I think it is a stupid bit that changes one of my favorite characters, which the author only threw in there to accommodate their own strange tastes. I just... really liked Roland and Karwenz as the twin brothers of the Mist and this ruined it for me.

I agree with you about Didina but Karwenz knew exactly what he was doing. He has said multiple times he could care less what happens to Eich as long as he has fun, so this is exactly what he wanted.

Didn’t Roland already stop the Cycle of Reincarnation? How does opening the dimensional barriers do anything except cause a lot of people to die? Karwenezs motives make sense to me, hers don’t.

Wait when did Reyne take a potion to become a man? Any specific chapter number?

If Karwenz can’t die unless Roland does as well I wonder how this is all going to end? I’m honestly hoping that Karwenz survives because I think he’s interesting, but Roland will probably find some weird work-around.

Why are they referring to the Northlands like some hillbilly country that nobody knows about? Haven’t they made a big deal out of it being a very important country now?

Not that I think she deserved to be captured or anything, but yeah when she was waxing on and on about how cool Karwenz was compared to Roland even though she knew he was an evil demon lord was quite irritating.

Does anybody remember that at one point Roland found out that there was a secret culprit behind the destruction of the Mist Kingdom? I can’t remember if they figured it out or not?

Rather than Roland, it seems to me that Elisa is the one is the one doesn’t understand other people’s hearts. For having known Roland as long as she has, she knows remarkably little about him. Either that, or she has managed to fall so far into her own delusions that reality no longer matters to her.

While the betrayal of Elisa was certainly something, especially when you consider their long history together, with Roland and Lisa adventuring together back in the day, I also want to point out how long it has been since Roland’s old house has been seen. Makes me nostalgic for the days when Roland was still just a crazy lich.
