ugh i hate to read when NPC characters are just so happens to be vulnerable and weak to deceive when the plot is already moving forward toward the antagonist's schemes. There's a reason why palace guards/knights are exempt from following status on most historical stories esp when the palace is full of high ranking personages. What they could do is respectfully make their stance clear that they can't leave the post together. One of them could call and wait for the backup that could assist the noble. It's not even an urgent situation where someone is calling in distress. It's just so stupid and frustrating to read. Even a blockhead would know it's wrong to leave your post empty Ugh

I wondered why the author didn't write Lucia attempting to save her mother from being sick after her 'rebirth.' But if she woke up when her mother's already sick then that explains it I guess. But I still find it odd for her to focus on her upcoming royal entrance at the beginning of the story rather than to spend time again with the last moments of her mother esp when she spent decades living life alone in her 'dream.' Knowing Lucia, she definitely would have cherished to experience beside her mother again after not seeing her for so long.

what a wise character. I'm quite satisfied the author didn't go into that route of 'plot coincidences' where the MCs always fall victim to. It's a great way of showing how this FL is always thoughtful and prudent of her actions, not one to easily fall victim to other plots.

Well she's not just half but a full blooded Taran herself. And biologically, they really are siblings. Remember that Hue and Hugo are twins so they share identical dna technically they are half-siblings if ever Hugo would have a child.

I see it more as Maria projecting herself to Rosa just as she always been projecting her weak sickly self to Lilyanne. Maria, as what we've saw glimpses of from her childhood, was a tomboy who longs to experience normal girly things and be "noble/ladylike" which explains very much her behavior. She didn't want her children to experience the same horrid things she had gone through from her father thus the very negative reaction to Rosalia's bruised skin, learning that Ronald is subjecting her to such activities. Unfortunately, acting out things Maria always wanted to have in her childhood and play this picture perfect family which Freddy as a doting husband definitely knows just made Rosalia be on the bad receiving end of it all.

There's no clue from the novel that grandfather Song survived, but we can only say it's possible for uncle Huo bec the last thing Ms Song remembered when he pushed her out was uncle Huo disappearing right in front of her. Also to add, the reason why I think it's uncle Huo and not Peter's uncle bec there's no one else that could send magnetic coordinates in his own phone number when he's supposedly dead after 10 years besides himself. Uncle Huo was part of the experiment and he's sent attempts at communicating at Ms Song. That could explain why they couldn't trace the person who keeps sending magnetic coordinates to his phone bec it came from the other side.

I've been rereading this novel and it's either he's Peter's uncle or Huo Shao's uncle from the other side. When the explosion of the experiment 20 years ago happened no bodies were recovered so it is also likely that uncle Huo came to the other side and was helped by Lu Jin. That could explain why both Lu Jin and Lu Yuan have their own magnetic reserve.

I know people have been vocal about this but I seriously doubt Peter is Huo Shao. It's just logically impossible. Even He Zichu had to spend 7 years to establish himself on the other side what more for Huo Shao who has yet to reach a scientific breakout in a mere span of months. I also trust Nianzhi's intuition when she compared the two and how Huo Shao wouldn't just be cold to her. The idea of Huo Shao pretending to be his counterpart in less than a year is just ridiculous. And most importantly, Huo Shao has never sacrificed nor purposely hurt Nianzhi in terms of appearances in his missions. He never pretended to be with another girl while being with Nianzhi and even firmly denied the pictures he had with Dou Aiyan. He always finds a way so I seriously doubt he would even have the guts to kiss his subordinate lol.

I have a feeling the author is insinuating that Xiao Wu is Shao Qiyun's son. The nephew could've been adopted by Shihao bec he took pity for his nephew 🤔

also Nianzhi could have been an important witness as well and the murder was the reason why Xiangwen had to take her away
