I was thinking about setting in the world of Fire Emblem, but I am still very much undecided. After all beneath the cute/weeb facade, that setting has the potential to hold some very mature themes of war, of legacy, the meaning of freedom and the sacrifices one must be willing to make for the good of others. However, because of the reputation of the franchise for being made by and for weebs, and because of the sheer amount of badly written fanfics about it, I'm quite a bit on the fence about it. If you have some suggestions for some places where I can drop the MC, please let me know. I want this story to be enjoyable by not just me, but everyone else who is willing to give this story a shot.

Indeed, especially considering the fact that, the Gohan who kept training and fighting ended up dead, alone, in a dead future. Sure, our Gohan may not be the strongest and "lived up to his potential", but honestly? I'd say that's a far better outcome than being dead.
Gohan is my favorite person in the entire Dragon Ball universe. And I hated the treatment he got either from those around him, or even fans of canon. The only thing Gohan ever won at in life, was his wife really. Come Super, Videl was possibly the best partner in the entire series, or at least on par with Bulma and 18. But even she started out harassing Gohan and making his everyday life kind of miserable when he started high school. - Ranock2yrCommented"..What?" the guy blinked. Well, if we go by the conversion logic of 1 bronze coin = 1 USD, then 1 dragon coin is about 10 billion dollars. So not exactly country buying power, but still very big numbers
