I have noticed this too. It almost feels like watching one piece episodes where the first 10 minutes or so of an episode is just reiterating what happened in the last several parts. Having a well detailed and well explained narrative is great. Trying to achieve that level of detail by saying the same thing multiple times in a row...not so much.

His friends sure like cheating in this tournament.

I would consider this cheating as well. Taro maintaining his beast on the field, even if it's just a piece of it, while his teammate's beast is on the field make it a two on one fight regardless of the duration.

I wonder if he would be penalized for messing up their cultivation. At the beginning he was able to interrupt a tamer's connection to their beast, by now I'm sure he could leave lasting damage or at least make it last a lot longer.

Did we really need a whole other chapter of explaining how much Jin wants to kill Ren? I'm grateful for something to read but seems like a waste when we didn't get anything new over what we got in the last one.
