And this is why no one should listen to the "readers".
Idk man, people hate women or something I swear. Any time a woman has a feeling in the story people in the comments go "LITH SAVED YOUR LIFE YOU OWE HIM" like that excuses things. I remember when phloria freaked out and people ragged on her. I didn't see the same level of hate when Kami did it. People act like just because they broke up that doesn't make her question what was her only healthy decent relationship. It even shocked his family at first too. People hate Phloria because they either lack empathy or have poor reading comprehension skills as the guy replying to you displayed. All her negative feelings towards lith were internal. She never spoke or acted on them except when she told lith that solus was gonna jack up his relationship. Guess what happened? People are stupid, but its a testament to the authors writing ability for people to care this much about a character. Love or hate.
"I never lied about seeing someone else, I just never mentioned it" Omission absolutely is a lie. withholding information that effects someone's decision making is lying. Even if lith and Solus are platonic, keeping that a secret is a lie. Because as acknowledged, she would have never dated him had she known.
they both reacted nearly identically. phloria hate is too much man
She has to die narratively. The author has been building up the entire story since the literal prologue for Lith to have an extreme issue with loss of people he loves. The only person he truly cared for in his first life died and it ruined him. For his character arc to be complete he has to learn to both care for others and mourn their loss and not fall apart and lose himself. The two candidates that can fill this role are his mother and Kamilla. But one has had much more set up and foreshadowing for their death. Regardless, someone HAS to die thats close to lith. Someone who has a completed character arc and doesn't have much place to go. His mother still has an arc slightly. The loss of her sons is unresolved emotionally and there's space there as long as Miln or whatever is Alive. Kamilla has no arc left. She's developed fully and really the only thing left is marriage and a baby. Her character only serves as a healthy balance for lith and a developmental romantic foil to his other love interests. She shows Solus her blind spots and issues with being too close to liths mind. That being said, Kamilla isn't done as the revelation of Solus could easily change the dynamic. So we know she won't die before that, but she will die. Lith can't overcome loss if he doesn't lose anyone.
For real. Phloria says "my feeling are hurt"... 39 comments all raging about how she's awful. Phloria does a good thing... silence. I think the author is aware of the toxicity and is trying to fix it. It may be too late but I appreciate it. She doesn't deserve any of the hate. Its a shame people aren't used to reading 3 dimensional characters who do things other than bend over for the mc and join the harem.
It's pretty simple and I don't know how people have been missing the point for this long. It's not that Phloria doesn't understand why lith didn't tell her, it's that the circumstances don't make it hurt any less. Imagine that you grew up with happy memories of your father. Then at age 25 he goes to jail for being a child predator. You may think nothing happened to you. But that will make you question your entire childhood. Its completely understandable why no one would warn or tell you this as a kid. Maybe your mom knew and hid it. Its understandable. But its still traumatizing and makes you question an entire portion of your life and your relationship with that person. This is a smaller scale, but its the same thing. Phloria will not settle for any person in a relationship worse than lith. And thats fair and smart. But now everything she thought she knew is off. She doesn't even know if Lith actually dated her because he liked her(which he didn't). it's not that he lied to her about Solus. it's that their entire relationship was a lie because of solus.
Thank you for restoring my faith in the readers of this novel single handedly. Every time Phlorias name comes up I dread the comments because there's so much unnecessary hate. Primarily because her internal monologues too. People literally get mad at her for having thoughts and feelings. People say she needs to get over her relationship. Well then lith needs to get over his abusive father and dead brother. It was a "whole life ago". Its a dumb argument. People are allowed to feel. I think Phloria is allowed to be traumatized by the fact that the only meaningful relationships she ever had were both shams. I think the idea that no one ever really loved you for who you are is something terrifying and probably half the reason lith was so messed up at the start of the story. But how quickly we forget. people just need to stop reading generic isekai garbage where everyone praises the mc like a God.
Any woman in this novel: "this thing lith did kinda hurt my feelings" Comments: "ITS NOT HIS FAULT, GET OVER YOURSELF I HOPE SHE DIES!!!" Can yall chill tf out. She just said that it hurt more than anything to feel like she's weak. she's not blaming anyone. stop reading trash novels where characters have no other emotions besides sucking off the mc. this is what good writing looks like. So annoying..
The MC has: 1. Molested this girl while she was sleeping (he can literally sense life energy. His body is better than anyone his level and he can survive in intense heat and cold on near infinite energy. He couldn't suffer a mirage and even so has no need to grab a mirage's butt, poke it with a stick) 2. Tied her up and held her captive 3. Stole her supplies 4. Put her life at risk Then he threatens to r**e her. If someone busted in your house in the middle of nowhere and did this to you, could you really justify any of these actions. It doesn't matter what excuses he tries to make, it's scummy and awful. If any other character did this to Sens mother the author would write them as an abuser to be killed by sen. it's tasteless because it's just literal assault being played off as a joke and when the girl tries to defend herself he threatens to assault her.
