Pretty normal when it comes to Magus' though, they are pretty much all insane with skewed views of what a genius is while seemingly missing the odd emotion here and there if not outright sociopathic/psychopathic. So in reality, Karin is right; he should be called Naruto Namikaze. The only thing he inherited from his mother, based on the microscopic amount of Uzumaki DNA in his body, is probably his love for ramen, nothing more.
