1. Wizard world doesn't have power scaling. Personally, it is not needed in this story, and is one of its strongest selling points. It's a pure fantasy story without any health bars, and leveling indicators. Do you see any power scaling in Harry Potter, and Lord of the Rings? That's the concept I am going for in this novel. Just like in the real world, you won't know how the person next to you is unless the two of you slapped each other's butt. 2. About the Academy, there's no need to always make a scene about Ethan learning things in the classroom because in stories, there are things that doesn't need to be written in text to be understood. It's like when you go to school. no one asks you what you learn in school because they understand that you go to school to study. There's no need to write the characters in the classroom every five chapters to make people understand that they are in a school. Even if its not written in paper or text, they are there to study, and learn things in school. I've gone to school for years, and believe me when I say that whatever I learned on it, I already forgot all about it by now. So, to cut the long explanation short, they go to school to study. Although its not written, classes are ongoing. Just like why Authors don't always need to write chapters about the MC breathing, peeing, and pooping. Its already understood that they do that, so no need to explain further.
