this is bothering me so much. a rapier is heavy , by design. its a fast weapon because the balance is in the very handle because of the pommel. its an overly specialised weapon made for dueling , fast 1nd lethal because it just goes so easily in a person through bones. only plate armor or cuirasse pose a challenge. its overly specialised design make it pretty bad at slashing . as the weight is in the pomel. its an absolutely scary weapon to face because its so agile and punch so hard. here hes taking everything that makes a rapier a rapier to just make it a thin sword.
Said and done. I spent the entire half hour swinging my new rapier around, and what can I say? I liked it. It was lighter than a sword, had less air resistance, and I could act much faster with the rapier than with the usual iron piece.
