Power plays are only possible against someone powerful if you have enough authority and respect. The MC has power but no authority. Which is why they would be affected by the laws. Their image is manufactured by those above them despite their strength. The public would more easily respect the judgement of a higher authority over a physically powerful person. Think of the MC from I'll become a Monster and All Might for Contrast.

What's her name? Given her a name here would be good or is she referred to as "female" because her sexual characteristics are more important in some context. Is this character only referenced in passing due to being a short term sexual outlet and nothing else?

This is very close to the reality of how pregnant people feel and how pregnancy works. It's why they can develop heart failure or lose teeth.
