Due to the hot conditions of this place, they mostly wore similar clothes to Nepheline. They're tribal in style and are beautifully decorated with different colors, ranging from red, yellow, blue, and green. However, they barely cover their bodies, if not at all. Males were all bare-chested, with only some covering their backs and shoulders with beautiful leather and monster bones. Kat was so effective in the 1st round because :- 1. Demons tend to be stronger than those that use other energy types in general. They are often able to at least stall those a rank higher and sometimes even beat them. (Yet another reason that the team would go for a rank 1 demon for the first round.) 2. Kat in particular has had a high level of regeneration since she was rank 1. Something that is rare in any demon below rank 3 or 4 I think it was. (And has impressed demons of rank 6 and/or 7.) 3. Kat's temperature resistance has also been at a stupidly high level since she was rank 1. It also works in both hot and cold. (Remember how much she liked hugging the 'warm ball' that was actuality so hot that she was standing in a pool of lava.) And all that is before we take into account her 'True-sight' and the ability to speed up her thoughts to the point of making time seem to almost stand still. As for the 'Limiter', Thyme was unprepared for a demon of Kat's caliber in the first round, and given how much stronger Kat got with her rank up, from the 2nd round on, Thyme has had her wear the limiter to bring her more in line with the other contestants so that the games aren't unfair for any of her opponents.

Thank you for that mental image. I'll never be able to look at honey the same way again. Now whenever I see it, I'll be trying to think of ways to make those I need revenge against to eat that much honey.
*Kress, your arguments, while compelling, aren't really getting at the heart of the issue. Why do you think it's appropriate to just walk out with the whole damn bowl? Sure nobody else was eating it, but that much candy cannot be good for you. I still remember that time you got into the honey jar and ate the whole thing, only to be throwing it all up not an hour later. Made worse when it started to stick in your throat. Also when Kat was first summoned, the party was just looking for someone to make up the required number of teammates. Even if who they got was a good match who won them a few matches (I sure Kat still dreams about the nice 'warm' ball from time to time.), they were just after someone relativity cheap, that would be unable to backstab them. (due to the Demon Contract.) Given those requirements, it would make sense if they summoned as cheap as possible. Calling a Rank 1 when they are Rank 2, for instance.

No. This is what happens to things of no consequence that get in Kana's way. Those that make Kana mad, become "Ornaments". And those that made her mad Wish they were of no consequence.
Francessca just stared blankly at the spot the monsters were just in. She realized if she had not turned over a new leaf, she might have ended up just like that monster if she had angered Kana too much. How much you want to bet Adel blindsides her with a wedding proposal before Faith does it.

Talking about this and that and complaining about all the things she could not complain about. Seeing her so lively and comparing to the state I left her in before. I was doing my best to hold back my tears. Only when she fell asleep did I leave. I, of course, left her a small note and put it in her hand. This time I will be sure Adel is never lonely. Speaking as someone who only speaks and reads English, it caught me out the first time I read it. Hence my earlier comment. ;-)

What I find funny is that King Gravos offered to come once he heard that I was going on a date. It seems he might not have given up on me marrying into his family just yet. I hate to disappoint him, but that will probably never happen in his lifetime or mine. But he is a good deterrent when it comes to dealing with sly cats. Going by the other comments, seems not having Premium puts me about a month behind. I hope you are feeling better by now and haven't come down with anything else in the meantime. (Seems my nephew brings home some new bug from school every week and shares it with the whole family.)
