Why not an OC, that's one or two years younger than Shanks and Buggy and treat them as his big bros, especially Buggy, that he want to makes much more cool and couragous, like in his favorite fanfic 'Transcended as Lord Buggy'. He'll start when he was 10 or so years old, is in Roger's crew and two possibilities there, be a genius at guns making and mastery, and make a crew of other geniuses that want to realize their dream of inventing the best things ever and discovering all the mysteries of these world. Or second possibility, be a barehanded martial art genius, that refuse to use any devil fruit and instead, develop the Nen of HXH (that also stop the user to have any devil fruit and vice versa) and make a crew of other martial artists, who he'll teach Nen, that have the dream of becoming the absolute strongest in the world.
