I feel this scene is poorly written. Dongfang Xui comes off as petulant as opposed to desperate, which is what I would expect her to be if the person she likes was just sucker punched by a man way more powerful than him. I mean if it wasn't the mc, anyone else would be dead and she talks and acts like he might be just a little hurt.

So, the guard was fired because he did his job well? The only mistake I see is on her failure to add them to the list or set up anything in advance.

Her past being horrible doesn't excuse future behavior. She should understand more than anyone what it means to be forced to wear that collar.... Wow, what a ride. This is definitely one of the best web novels I have read. There were a few parts that seemed to drag, but for the vast majority was entertaining. Though, the later chapters seemed to lose the magic of the earlier chapters, when the mc was scarred and running around. Later, it felt like he went from super cautious to the all-knowing puppet master. Mainly because the author seemed to distance us from the mc. We were no longer watching him plan and work, but more watching his plans unfold as he explained. There are definitely more scenes I would have liked to see before the end, but it was wrapped up way better than 98% [img=recommend]) of the other web novels I have read. It was sad to see some characters just thrown aside and barely talked about later, such as his aunt master, his grandmaster, the poison expert from from the du sect etc. His master kind of got screwed and I would have liked to see some sort of happy ending for him, but maybe there was in the original story of the heavenly courts. I know very little about the original story of the heavenly courts, which probably made this story more confusing then it could have been, trying to keep track of all characters, etc. As always, thanks for the translation. I really enjoyed the beginning of the story. The author created an interesting world. Then after the mc defeats his first sovereign, the author throws out all the previous mechanics and the story hits light speed. Its like the author started holding his breath and wouldn't start breathing again until the story was finished. After that, it was still a decent story, but it just rushed through soo quickly that it felt like the condensed, abridged version. The power ups became ridiculous. Where before it would take several chapters to level up, he would just start gaining 10s to 100s of levels at a time, leaving the reader with little understanding of what it even meant. All characters, besides the mc, were basically shoved to the side, but mentioned occasionally so that you know that they were not forgotten by the author, just abandoned. The author either was somehow forced to quickly finish his whole story, grew bored or just became too lazy to continue it properly. He took what could have been a really great story and reduced it to a decent read.

It was a good story. My only real complaint is that this feels like the abridged version. It is like the author rushed the whole story as soon as the mc beat his first sovereign. The author, essentially, just through away all the mechanics and struggles from the beginning of the story. Not to say that it needed 3000+ chapters of filler, but the story could have been a little slower, methodical and more fleshed out. Maybe somewhere between 500- 1000 chapters would have been nice. Seeing the mc slowly building up, taking out some more sovereigns before the war, Interacting with his household more and spending more time on the mechanics that made the beginning so interesting.

This guy is kind of dumb... He is super rich... why not just move. The mc cant really go that far, distance wise. If he started spreading out and relocating the mc wouldn't be able to do much to him. I know that moving comes with risks of its own, but if he is careful and does it right he will be fine and can continue to grow.

In my life I have dealt with many stones, In my experience, catching a rock aware would be a far greater feat... lol I want him to sit in front of the stone and absorbs/eats it lol The look on everyone's face as the divine saint eats their forbidden stone... Thanks for the chapter!
