Unpopular opinion but I’m still rooting for Mordret to kill Morgan.

Lotta people talking about how Sunny raising more death flags, which is true, but it also reminds me of his first nightmare. Where he decides instead of laying down and dying, he will survive, he must, if only to spite the world. I’m looking forward to what our treacherous shadow will do to bend the world to his will.

I think it’ll have to do with him defying death. What better way to assert his authority over the domain of death than to defy it? Not to mention if he basically restarts his existence or somesuch, maybe he’ll get closer to figuring out a way to fix his fate problem.

Probably so, though I can’t help but feel Sunny’s domain will deal with death, and what better place to be surrounded and strengthened by death than a massive war? So maybe a surprise is in store. Though I somewhat doubt it.

Old comment, but at the time Cassie had stolen Sunny’s freedom, condemning him to a lifetime of slavery. Her motivations are irrelevant. And to top it off there’s no hint of her apologizing or being repentant for the next 1000+ chapters. Sunny’s main character motivation is to be free, so I still think it would have been in character for him to assassinate both her and Nephis’ body in the academy.

True, but also neph’s flames are the antithesis of corruption, so she’s particularly well suited for injurying and slaying nightmare creatures. Not to mention her divine bloodline empowers her flames as well.

That would make more sense story-pacing wise, but I feel like that goes against Sunny’s character. Not to mention, he still needs to defy fate and beat the nightmare spell with neph. I doubt he’d be able to do that with his fate restored. No, I think he’ll be fateless for a while.

I’ve thought about Sunny returning to everyone’s memories a bit, and I think the only way he’d be satisfied is if he becomes as good at weaving as Weaver. The nightmare spell is woven from strings of fate iirc, so all of Sunny’s essence weaving is basically a tutorial towards that. So eventually (maybe once he’s reclaimed all of weaver’s bloodline?) he should be able to steal back his fate and weave himself back into the tapestry of fate while excluding his slave fate and maybe changing his true name.
