Going to pass on this. The cultivation system is controlled by the author too much, the time the MC cultivated compared to the number of months he got and his breakthrough do not match, now he will breakthrough when he needs, meaning the author will let him breakthrough for plot rather than on a schedule of some kind that will match his progress. It completely invalidates the cultivation he gets from plants, it could be 3 month worth or 20 years, he will only breakthrough if the plot needs it.

I like it overall, except his cultivation progression, its so badly done it feels like the story would be better if there was none of it. he is 16... maybe 17, he was already level 2 of Qi, overall he got around 3 years worth of cultivation from plants (after he reached level 3 qi) yet he hasn't made it to level 4 yet, and this is almost 3 years of constant cultivation, far more than he was doing on his own yet he reached level 2, when did he start, when he was 4-5 years old?

The cultivation progression sucks. He is 16-17 and was level 2, and close to portal if it. He got so many cultivation time, near or above 3 years but he is still level 3? When did he start to cultivate to reach the initial level 2, when he was 4?

I will remember this novel as the first one that made me like The Sentry.

I'm going to drop it here, having a "female lead" so soon, ie romance killed it for me, mostly her looks, he has the ability to change her (which might change her personality), yet she will remain looking like an animal because the MC doesn't want to change her? I think of things in realistic terms to decide if I like something: If the MC does something, is it for plot or would a real person do it? Looking like that, in a real world, will make life overall far worse than looking normal or not that extreme, and if the MC didn't have the ability to change her AND it took time for the MC to say "She is the one!" I could convince myself to read further, but this? This is the author deciding because he likes the character or furry or both. If the MC met her, got to know her, etc. I could understand, If you want to tell me that a human could meet her and fall in love? Sure, but it will be the kind that takes time, that you need to get to know the person first to accept\overcome the initial strangeness of their appearance. Seeing furry with anime esthetics is one thing, seeing something like that in a real-life situation, full realism would look WAY different and would explain the reaction of other people, fur all over the body, a face the reminds you of your pet dog... BUT the MC can change her, that's a point I won't get over with, a literal raise of his hand and its done. Goodbye.

I'd rather he learns to do it himself than rely on others all the time, beside he already said the same thing so I assume he will learn eventually. I guess they don't have issues learning new things when older.

One paragraph made me feel like we just wasted time reading 11 chapters. If all he did came to so little, it is useless, it seems to me like it was more for the effect, a small temporary nerf so action happens, then back as usual. Might as well just get a wand.

Couldn't he just... do all this stuff again, why does it keep going back to previous life memories, it feels a bit like a limiting cheat, eventually there has to be something magic teaches he won't be able to match to an emotion. It is, so far, not explained well, it never mentioned the fact that once he spends the time to match a memory to an action that is it, he doesn't need to do it again, it talked at first about practicing until its automatic but never since.

I like the fact that he acts more mature than his age, some people find it weird, maybe unsetteling, but in the end convince themselves he just different or unique, what I imagine most people would do in such situation rather than the usual MC M.O. of: Hide, pretend., if someone finds out the very fabric of reality will implode.

This is why I don't like the "sealing" his power, its bs, its pointless. I have no idea if he has his power sealed right now, it comes down to the author. He might be sealed or not, the author decides what he can or cannot do, whenever.
