There is no need to rush because it isn't as if this part is bad. Current pacing actually feels like a story. There are stories where it is just the MC constantly doing this or that which just feels like a more elaborate diary. Interactions don't need to have importance. Some authors rush through it to progress the story which makes it bland. I really enjoy your interactions because it enriches the story and it's noticeable. Sorry if reading this was messy but in general I just wanted to say your story feels whole. You didn't sacrifice one to expand in another so everything feels balanced.
