Betty quickly waved her hand and explained, "Nonono. You're gorgeous! It's just... I met Hala a couple of times. The first time was when he threw out his back after trying to arm-wrestle his Crabominable. When he told me the full story, I couldn't stop laughing! His Bewear carried him like a delicate princess - that didn't help his case either!"

Pokemon version of the “Fastball Special”

All of a sudden, though, the ground shifted and formed a ramp pointing at Beedrill's location. It was a testament to the typing energy training the pokemon do on Pete's farm on a daily basis. Before Beedrill could react, Donphan shot out of the Sandstorm. It hit the ramp, and, like a car sized bullet, hit the bug pokemon flying in the air.

A few hours later, the mostly boring tournament came into its heated phase: the semi-finals. Jasmine had easily reached it with one hit KO's and would fight a young man called Bugsy next. Pete naturally identified him as the next Azalea bug gym leader and not just because he had a Scyther and a Beedrill fighting for him.

Meowths across the world thank you for your service.

Pete also published recipe books for pokemon and humans, a lot of them with berries as an ingredient. Housewives all over the world liked the last point the most. This world did not know what a lasagna was before he arrived!

Didn’t his second Miltank hatch several chapters back while Elm was at the farm with him?

"*Yep! And your second Miltank hatched as well! Look, my Gible! There he is playing with Gliscor!*" Jasmine more or less shouted out of happiness as she turned the camera around.

There are a lot of good electric Pokemon, but I personally love Plusle & Minun

Why would he pay for an Oddish egg, for example? Or what could he do with a Minun or Plusle? He might add another electric pokemon to his roster so that Zebstrika wouldn't feel alone, but it wouldn't be a Minun or Plusle. Manectric was out even more. Pete remembered that their manes emit constant electricity, causing forest fires and constant lightning strikes according to the pokedex.

I mean, couldn’t they use Rest and try to somehow focus the effects outside themselves?

While most, if not all of his pokemon, knew the psychic move Rest, it only helped cure the poison status of the user. Same with the normal move Refresh, though none of his pokemon knew that one.

I honeslt could see them as some kind of regional variant of Grimer more than I can see them as their own Pokemon species.

Apparently, the Gulpin and Trubbish populations had exploded on route 110 to the north of the city, and many hikers, trainers, and most of their pokemon were poisoned to various degrees.

He should get a porygon to photoshop an image of him almost naked and covered in mud while running away from a beedrill.

"Heh, I'll only allow pictures of me with you by my side in the news, so everyone will remember you as the weirdo who hung out with the other weirdo," Pete quipped back with both hands behind his head in a carefree manner.

I’m now picturing hundreds of these guys and their kin doing the Macarena

The next morning, Pete and Valentino woke up to a little jumpscare when a crazy amount of hundreds of Lotad and their evolved form Lombre and tens of Ludicolo, the final evolution of the water/grass species, were calmly walking or rather dancing out of the jungle. The shack was next to a river that fed into the ocean, which apparently was prime real estate for the Lotad line.

"I'd certainly like to find out if my three psychic pokemon have mega evolutions, but I think it would be much better suited in your hands. I'll keep the grass and ground mega stone, though. As a farmer I'd be stupid not to and if I don't find anything, my girlfriend is about to become a ground type gym leader in Johto's Olivine City," Pete spoke with a sigh a few silent moments later.

    Keep that for Torterra!!!

"Not knowing what they are, you managed to find two mega stones. This one seems to enable grass and ground to mega evolve. Remarkable," Steven praised sincerely.

Really? Tirtouga is an awesome water type, I’m surprised that he chose to give it away.

"Well, let's start with something that would put all of us in a good mood. I'm not sure how much you like fossils, but I have a cover fossil from Unova, I'd like to gift you to start us off. Judging by your lineup, you have at least some fondness for... prehistoric pokemon," Pete answered as he handed the fossil containing a Tirtouga's shell over to the champion.

    Bacato Herb

In this world, it was not an instant-cure of these things, but something a prepared trainer would give their pokemon at the end of a fight to help them calm down and relax by either smelling it or - if you were rich enough - have them chew the herb for bigger effects.

Purika City turned out to be a huge letdown. Maybe he was just cranky, but a dude with a Cacturne outfit and a Cacturne suddenly stopped, and Pete ran into him. Then, a Wingull swooped down to steal the food he had bought at a stall. Even Duosion wasn't fast enough to stop it from happening. His impression of the city was, therefore, terrible.

I thought he gave the giant Moon Stone to Nidorino. Also, Author, can he use a Moon Stone to evolve an Eevee into Umbreon (as an alternative way to achieve it)?

One bag was completely empty, while his pokegear bag had his potions, pokeballs, and survival gear like the tent and sleeping bag he hadn't used in a long time. He also brought a few items to barter that he didn't really need. Like those two giant Moon and Leaf Stones and the few golden nuggets he and his pokemon found during his journey.

Get yourself a Phantump or a Gastly and do as Kurt from Pokemon: Animus does - go for the Pokeballs first then punch her right in the face while she wonders where her team went.

During breakfast that day, Clair had sent him a strongly worded message to his league ID about how they would 'fight out' who has the better fashion sense the next time they would meet. Pete hoped that didn't mean a pokemon fight, he'd much rather have a fist fight with the woman who was very likely to beat him up squarely, but that would still leave him with better odds. Her Charizard was clearly out of this world.

Not a lizard, just not human. The guy looks and acts like he’s an alien that has no clue about being a human but has to keep the act up cause he is stuck here.

Clair stepped closer to the two, and unseen to Pete, her pupils turned into slits and her neck, collarbone, and bizeps gained scales in the same color as her hair. It was the real reason for her wearing a cape over her regular clothes: hiding the effects of flexing her very advanced dragon affinity.

Her eyes also paused for a second on the three Farfetch'd who stood in a perfect line with the leeks resting with the root-end on the ground and one wing behind their back in what Pete could only describe as the perfect parade rest. Sometimes, Pete really wondered who taught these birds.
