FYI, there is an Inconsistent translation that seems mechine translated at some points. Mana is used instead of qi multiple times. Also the story has very little interpersonal interactions so far (ch 50) making it feel kind of empty. The start was good but otherwise has been slow. Better than 90% of stuff on here tho.
lol, it isn’t hard to put a computer together. I wouldn’t be surprised to hear that a 7 year old around here could do it. I mean I could do it at 10 or 13 or so.
The pacing and plot holes are probably partially due to a very high use of AI. The writing style is full AI.
It's OK. Pacing is real weird. Obviously a lot of AI use. Seems like story ideas and direction maybe influenced by ai as well since it's wandering so much. Cool concept and heart warming in some ways.
Highest level of generic Xianxia I've ever read and with least depth of world. Zero character depth too or real relationships so far. Mc is good at everything for reasons. People are pure assholes for reasons. Sad.
Chance that his lawyer background ever coming up again? 0.5%
Wait! If those shop owners are chasing him, who's minding the store?! Looting time!
I know mcs comprehension is great, I just haven’t “felt it” in the story. It’s only said after he does things. If you gave a metric before he started doing things like absorbing elements or in this scene explaining the previous best performance and what different ranks o would mean and then have him beet that performance potentially by a big amount, that would make this more satisfying.
I have to say, originally I was concerned w how women were being treated in this novel, but I’m liking the more complex and kind relationships he does have.
All this focus on the metal and lightning would feels out of place and the explanations feel empty since there was no difficulty or special things mentioned when he absorbed those things. At the time he got the lightning it seemed like anyone could more or less do what he did.
