do you know how complicated it is to reatatch a limb? it takes hours of surgery to reatatch a single finger, and if anything is even slightly misaligned it can cause the reatatched limb to be basicaly useles or die and start rotting, you can't just put severed limb in a bloody stump and cast some magic bulshit without knowing at least the basics of human anatomy or you end up with essentialy in the same state still a cripple but now you have a non functional limb still atatched.
