I gave each of the AI some personality and specialty. Bell is more of a jack of all trades and was Jackson first AI. She main act as a support like a nurse since Jackson health was not that great back on earth. She specialize in health care and guard all of the AI data. As for her persona well I saw her as a mischievous child who love to mess around and lazy all day but when needed Bell will do her task.

I understand what you are trying to get but This quote means that it is better to know a single skill and fully utilize it, compare to learning 100 skills but does not know how to utilize it. Let's use your example, If we take 1 MMA fighter who learn and trained a single skill on kicking everyday for a month VS an MMA fighter who learns a new kicking skills everyday for a whole month. On paper if would sound very good to many skills on hand but you would not be able to use those skill fully without your body knowing it. Instead it would cause strain on your muscle for using many skill with proper training. However, for the MMA fighter who trained a single kicking skill for a whole month does not sound very good on paper but in reality because of constant practice, his kicks would be faster, stronger and almost instinctual. Overall the point of this quote is to better have steady foundation when building a house. Similar to the saying 'Haste makes waste'.
