Why not use his ability to increase his magic capacity? His power is the concept of amplification and it works on things that are concrete and abstract from what we've seen so far. If he can increase the efficiency of all the aspects of something as complex as food, then surely he could focus it on whatever container stores his magic. And if that doesn't work, then max out his ability to regenerate magic. Doesn't matter if his capacity is small if it regens faster then he can spend it.
