Was it not a writer's technique called "unreliable narrator"? From the POV of Felix, he believes this, so he thinks like this. Yet from the POV of his father, he believes in another aspect, which is different from Felix... Though I don't remember it being told from Felix's perspective...

honestly, kinda disappointed. I was feeling schadenfreude about the guy, happy he'd lived a fulfilling life, while cheering on these husbands and fathers'. Now, I'm just disappointed.

sigh... honestly, it's my fault. I couldn't be bothered remembering your name when I dropped your other pieces. If I had known... The drama's too much. The characters are garbage. The jokes... I'd understand if the mc was independent he'd be so reckless with his life, not taking too much stock with the warning. But the guy has a wife, and other family members... and friends. I honestly feel mad enough to wish harm upon the mc just to gloat at the man, and I hope his wife doesn't suffer for his indecisive actions. Does he not have the means to put an end to this? Wait so long just to retaliate, is he some knock off Avenger, only cable of avenging a slight? They already wish harm upon mc and his ilk, that guy is not only guilty be association, but in aiding the mc's enemies! They wish harm upon the wife and her sister, more should be done. I cant believe he blew that warning off.
