yes i know that the boy is only wanted for draft evasion. you didnt answer to my main point which is that the boy maybe has a valid reason to be there and wouldnt it be pretty shitty from the shopkeeper to not sell someone something jsut becouse he thinks that that person is a draft evader imagine yourself in such a situation you just came from the funeral of your parents you want to eat something and every shop refuses to sell you something isnt what the clerk did far better than that he served the boy like a normal customer becouse there is a chance that he isnt a draft evader but just in case he reported the boy to the police

why shouldnt he take the money? what does the fact that the boy is probably a criminal to do with the fact that he is also a customer As a clerk in a shop it is his duty to serv the customers and as a citizen it is probably his duty to report criminals as far as i can see he did everything right and what should he have done instead? not selling him anything and risking that a potentially heavily armed criminal gets angry at him becouse of that? and then there is still the chance that the boy isnt a criminal and that he has a valid reason to be there maybe a family member of his died and he got some free days to visit the funeral
