yeah, debit vs credit option with card I think.
*Magnum opus
Didn't seem like a robbery, guy didn't ask for money, just charged up screaming and stabbing. Was he a jealous father/boyfriend of one of the cat-calling ladies? Was he after an underworld bounty? Was he triggered by Liam's aura, or the aura of the T3 metal? Dunno...but it would be nice to know a little more. The way Luan just shrugs and motors on sticks in my craw, it's very foolhardy of him and doesn't fit the profile of a reincarnated, wiser protagonist.
why does he not investigate this attacker at all? even a few moments to interrogate, especially with mind/soul search, could be worth it. there are clearly faction(s) in the shadows after him and his stuff. he might want to focus on cultivating for now, but making a list of known active threats would be wise, especially since his friends and family are not as invincible as him. He might be bulletproof, but is his Mom?
Will continue to read to see if the story is inspired from, or plagerized. I liked EER's premise but didn't care for some of the later developments, so I am currently hopeful this story takes the same launch point in a better direction.
Flower power?
Nah, there's no reason any "regrets" would not be washed away with the memory soup. I think the "regrets gate" is just a way for King Yama to get some free labour out of capable souls. She had a capable and successful life, and clearly the reward for good work is more work.
So, the initial premise -- transmigrated uber-hacker bogged down by family inheritence politics getting revenge and looking after Mum.... that's a guilty pleasure story I could have found entertaining and enjoyed. It's pulpy and light, but that's it's own kind of flavor of story. Unfortunately, this promising story was invaded by ABUSIVE COLD CEO STALKER BOYFRIEND. You know, the creepy kind that pops up in various chinese so-called "romance" novels. It's not romantic, it's creepy, and the MC should get a restraining order. I really don't like how our capable uber-hacker leet MC loses all capabilities and swoons around getting manhandled and controlled. Or how the super-competent elite CEO loses all sensibility and morals when it comes to invading and controlling the life of a highschooler. It's creepy... please no... don't do this authors.
