True, but that is arisk in itself, since the goverment will lose power, the more mighty clans there are. Shingo instead builds a Hunter-grounded Empire, by Hunters for Hunters... Different concept and the more he advances with his plans, the more possible hunters he wil have. Do not forget, that he is "helping" the nations he "conquers". The resentment from the "conquered" will be small, as long as he does it covertly.

AND THAT is the reason humanity will become extinct one day... Unfortunatly guys like that not only exist in novels, and not just one like him... we have enough like that in reality as well and at the moment they are OPEC' and Co's CEOs and Owners... (well given, my real-live examples do not kill off scientist for alternative energies, but since they literally burry their inventions and discoveries by clinging to oil and gas it is only a sophistical difference).

Depends on the grade of "civility" that controls the world, but generally speaking, without enough power you will constantly be tested for it... unfortunatly that is STILL the same nowadays...

well 10 years can be "many years ago"... even 5 or 6 can be called that. If he is not much older than 25, there is a lot of space for variation and 9 years ago he would only be 16 max.
