Well he was a sword master before entering the tower. He was someone who had crossed the boundary between graduate and master. He could easily handle a bunch of graduates. So I guess it makes sense? But it is still bonkers to think that his stats were near 20000 outside the tower

The purpose of the tower to consume the children. Not to let them get stronger. So it won't make the people entering inside unnecessarily strong. That means Vikir whose stats are nearing 200 at 1% inside the tower were all nearing 20000 outside??? 😳😳😳 Man sword masters are strong AF!!!

Yep. My exactly my point. They did what they thought was best given their circumstance. They certainly did lack wisdom when it comes to parenting kids like Orpal who get jealous of their own shadows. And like many parents, they failed to notice the flaws in their child and thought he would grow up to be okay. But that doesn't make them bad parents by any stretch of the imagination I don't think.

Did the author forget that in the game just before Felix purchased some artifacts to sell in the player market for GP? If he hadn't forgotten this fact, then Felix would have good amount of GP, and he wouldn't be complaining about it.

Like it is mentioned in this chapter, not everything is curable with light magic from tier 1-3. And like the other comment said and we have witnessed with Tista before, the patient needs to have sufficient energy to go through the procedure for higher tiers. At least that is my understanding.

Bro WTH are you on? Did you read the prologue? These folk are kind and loving parents. They were just a bit naive and lacked wisdom when it came to things like sensing the jealousy in their eldest son. But, that is perfectly normal. Not all are capable in this regard, and before someone says that that makes them bad parents I would like to point out that no one is perfect. They did nothing to actively harm their children, and even worked hard to put food on the table and give them love. They're not bad parents. If anything they got easily manipulated. But that is because Orpal couldn't control himself in the first place. Sigh
