Coffeine is addictive yes, same as alcohol, sugar and nicotine

I did (again) and there are no health risks involved when consuming 3-5 cups of coffee a day/1litre of tea per day (for a person with a healthy heart and kidney). The do reduce the chance of specific cancers and more thou. The only negative side effects left (affect a healthy person) from the coffeine and are mainly aniexty and an increase in stress. Side effects of tea is also to be calming, increase metabolism and reduce aniexty (can be explained by looking at the 2 mayor types of stress a person can expirience (Eustress (positive type of stress increases productiveness and reactionspeed, reduces sleepiness) and dystress (negative stress: starts as aniexty, gives a feeling of beeing overwhelmed and might lead to mental breakdowns or burnouts)
