Also cultivation is also learning about the world and advancing individual power, so cultivation is also science fyi, just not as methodical at modern science which is why they have harder time passing down knowledge. Ancient cultivators had cultivation techniques only through trial and error and superficial understanding, abundant spiritual resources lead to lack of advancement. This is a very common point in almost all cultivation novel except some where there are other civilizations more advanced in different part of the universe. I recommend reading Warlock of Magus World, Swallowed Star (this has an anime but I recommend the novel), soul land, carefree path of dreams and such for better understanding and knowledge. Also these are some of the best novels out there and Soul Land has many sequels where each novel improves on the past novel technologically to find better harmony between nature, civilization and lack of resources.

Idk what you guys are on but if you read enough cultivation novel then it’s common knowledge that most cultivators use premitive method to achieve things because spiritual power delays the advancement of science and technology. Infact with proper methodical knowledge they can achieve things that only cultivators at higher level can do, also they are very wasteful of natural resources because of their lack of knowledge. They always do things with brute force. Science is about understanding the natural world in a more logical way. Ancient cultivators work harder than smarter. Just imagine the possibilities of working harder and smarter. So people claiming that science is not better should reevaluate their statement.
