It's an ok story to me but the world building and character development itself is basically non existent. The author doesn't really describe the MC or the other characters. Really early in the story the MC acts as tho he already lived for thousands of years, but most of the time he just shuts his consciousness off and I don't really think that should be considered living. To sum up the story I've read so far it's alright.

Dude I understand he's amazing, could you stop reminding me every 10 chapters. I want him hardened not soft, stop giving friends he can rely on.

The dude is like a generic japanese isekai protaganist. They praised him constantly till it got annoying and now they act like his story is the saddest, It's not, and the MC is so childish it makes me feel as tho the dude wasnt reincarnated and is just a smart kid. Isn't the dude like over thirty stop crying and get to business.

it gets annoying when you constantly hear he's a genius

it's a good story with minor flaws, that being as the story progresses the MC's magic doesn't last as long as in previous battles but ends up being a plus because he's not so overpowered and makes the story boring.

I'm at Ch 1071 For me its getting harder and harder to read this any longer, not because its a bad story but because it's so boring at times. I think harems should be cut off at 3 wives, anymore and its becomes stale romance with underdeveloped characters. The Mcs wives have a better cultivation manual than him. Fallen heaven even told him in an earlier chapter in the novel that he didn't have info of other cultivation manuals outside of the soul, but later the MC ask for cultivation manuals for them and he suddenly has them. I don't think the author thought enough of the MC's cultivation because at times he seems to be just going (oh yeah he has a high level cultivation, intent and domain now). He cultivates lighting and focuses on the extinction aspect of it, earth intent because of the body cultivation manual, and death intent which is because of the treasure. Earth and lighting clash with one other not because they're opposite but because one is resistant to the other. So why would he cultivate his body with earth while essence gathering is lighting. It makes no sense to me, while death is in the background forgotten. The dude has the most OP treasure I've read in a cultivation novel and he is still so underwhelming. The author should've nerfed the ability to kill higher stage experts in the lower realms and left the book a comprehensive treasure for the law of death and life. He should've comprehended death or life already, he has the literal book of death. The fights he has are basically nonexistent because of the book. The dude is on constant vacation mode with his family, the novel feels more like a slice of life rather than a cultivation novel. I cant recall more than 1 real life or death situation for him. He brings along his family and wives which makes it refreshing but boring at the same time. It's refreshing to see because the author doesn't waste your time with all the character development just to forget them, but because of it, it makes the story boring and drawn out at times. The MC doesn't really grow mentally these past thousand chapters and he remains petty and childish despite being from earth. Although I have many complaints, the story itself isn't bad I just had to high of expectations coming into it and expected more from the story. I'll try to read another 200 chapters in hope that it'll interest me but with how the story is going I doubt it.

Man, the more I read the more I'm disappointed with this guys intents they're all over the place. The author says earth is resistant towards lighting yet cultivates his body with it. These two intents aren't opposite but can't see how they benefit each other. He still hasn't even comprehended death intent despite having the book of the death. I feel as tho the author wasn't paying attention all that well into his own story and was to focused on the useless harem with flat romance.

It's an average cultivation novel without much cultivation and fights. To me it seems to be more of a slice of life than cultivation. It's a shame because the book of death is such a good idea but the damn book is so Op it leads to lil growth in the story and MC that he still hasn't comprehended the intent of death despite a thousand chapters in the novel.
