eh, some would do it. there are people that do cosmetic implants (underskin piercings, bone piercings, subdermal implants, eye tattoos, etc,) without anaesthesia... and they don't even get magical powers out of it.

basic gamer logic. until you can dmg cap every hit, multihit attacks tend to be pitiful compared to stronger single hit attacks. though, it is a rather basic math. games usually have scaling dmg and thresholds, with 5 extra points of attack on a weapon when they push a threshold resulting in 20 extra per hit, but like 1 extra if they don't push you over a threshold. (that'd be monster hunter, kinda... then we have multiplying effects.... and i started thinking about effect combos in idle games... i was reading to unwind my mind from number crunching in dungeon crawlers)
However, in a real situation, the damage was not like that. Yu IlHan's attack power would be multiplied by 2.5 to become 2,500, while the opponent's defence would still be 500. Therefore, the damage would be 2,000. In other words, it would increase by 4 times. - Nyarlanhothep1yrReplied to Yorbin
but there was no point to hiding it. If those two needed help in the future, she'd probably reach out to him anyway. She'd figure out he was the one who helped them this time, regardless if he gave his name to her friends. and what would he get from hiding his name? nothing... like... there is literally no reason for him to conceal his identity in this situation.
In other words, there's no meaning in hiding it.
