It literally says PRIME MINISTER Kevin Rudd in the Chinese version. I'm already expecting the censorship of Kevin Rudd by the translator, but why do you have to change the office into PRESIDENT? It just makes people assume the author made a mistake, when it's quite obvious he's extremely familiar with Australia. (He even references the bankrupted Wonderland Sydney theme park that I used to go to as a kid later in the chapter.)
Wonderland Sydney, which closed in 2004. Nice one, author!
Why did the translator just skip a whole bunch of text here: (original transcript) The next morning, Jiang Chen woke up from his sleep. Glancing at Liu Yao who was sleeping beside him, he didn't wake her up immediately, but got out of bed lightly. After all, she is just an ordinary person, and she is definitely incomparable to Jiang Chen, a "superman" who has been injected with genetic medicine. After a simple wash, Jiang Chen took out his mobile phone and habitually checked his e-mail. When he saw the unread email in his inbox, a smile appeared on his face. "It's finally here." Old John's Cafe on the corner of Oakland.
I just checked the original story, it says 400,000. Translator screwed up again.
It says '面饼' in the Chinese version, which definitely refers to Instant Noodles (even though Google occasionally translates it as bread. That's probably how the translator made a mistake. Bread however, would be written as '面包'.)
The Chinese version says "hundreds of millions", the translator just made a mistake.
