His world isn't a mashup at all (Xmen is part of marvel, and so is miles, what you are comparing it to is the MCU, the MCU isn't everything you know, technically this could be its very own universe), and yes it's badly written though the author says that in the description.

You don't know how bullets work (bullets barely do anything) its the guns that do most of the work in real life, the only thing that would change bullet speed AND isn't because of the gun would be the amount of gunpowder in the shell. not to mention usually faster-moving bullets have the better penetration power, so if dust bullets shot faster they would be better (and they are made with ****en dust!! you know the ELEMENTS, freeze bullets, GRAVITY bullets that could change their weight mid flight like waaaat.)

Fun fact the main protagonist in Fairy Tail is Lucy, as the story of Fairy Tail is from her point of view in most cases. you can technically say that there are 2 protagonists though.
