A well deserved victory and a great expansion for their future plans.
Who knows. I forget the hardships of living in a medieval society. Credit cards are too useful nowadays.
He’s willing to spend more money to kill his brother than to give Jocelynn a traditional necklace she desires. It actually makes me laugh a little.
Makes sense. Owain feels like he’s the type of person to be self-assured in his position and strength even when it may not be the case.
Thanks for the chapters. I really hope that when Ashlynn meets Owain Jocelynn is also there. The fallout will be glorious.
I guess he can take advantage of her mostly brilliant mind. She’s terrible at love as we know.
Damn. He really doesn’t care for her as a person. No doubt Jocelynn been invaluable in negotiating with the merchants but he’s so stuck in his own prejudices that he just wants to view her as a trophy. I somehow thought he could take advantage of talented subordinates but I guess not. Probably the only good he’s done in his life was to send Ashlynn to meet her wife, which really wasn’t a cordial first meeting.
So honorable he beats an unarmed woman nearly to death and probably wouldn’t mind cheating on Jocelynn. Congrats Jocelynn. You sure know how to pick them.
I see Owain is no expect in politics.
I may be misremembering but I thought his father was telling him he had to do better or he would lose it all and be replaced. I’m surprised (but not really) that he didn’t pick up on it when his brother started going tot he frontlines.
