“Worshipping” should be “praying”. Worshipping have a different meaning than praying. Praying to Guanyin is common when asking for safety. Worshipping does not necessary mean to ask/request..

“..with gravity,..” = phrase here does not make sense with this context. A better phrase maybe “..with a heavy heart,..”?

“Face” is not prestige or honor. “Respect” maybe a closer terminology. It’s about personal ego and delusion of others seeing the person with “face” or respect.
