Rereading: It’s interesting how YX’s characteristics of loving glory and willingness to teach, along with his actions speak louder than words ideal combine here as a way to distract/comfort CG

Rereading: I like that YX doesn't question Chen Gou's promise here. I really think Chen Gou's character is under appreciated as I see her as one of the main reasons Team Happy works. It's repeatedly reinforced that she treats her employees like her family because they practically are. This helps the team avoid a lot of the problems with commercialization that YX had to in EE. If Chen Gou had been like most sponsors/managers I don't think YX would have been able to help Happy grow as much as it did. The fact that YX seems to understand all of this about Chen Gou even now in the book and knows she wouldn't act like EE just warms my heart.
