A lot of the bad reviews for this novel keep complaining about nationalism but I always try to give this one the benefit of the doubt because not only is the novel enjoyable but the nationalism is kept to a very moderate level with the only exception of China being the only country with a high spiritual energy level. However what happened in the previous chapter left me disappointed. The mc's relationship with China is apparently predicated solely on what benefits they can provide him and his cultivation. Regardless of the other countries' lack of spiritual density as compared to china, the fact remains that they are all connected to a vast variety of alternate worlds at varying energy levels, therefore reason dictates that he would be able to benefit by forming relationships with the other countries as well to gain access to what their connected alternate worlds have to offer. Yet the mc instead actively dismisses the leading members of all the other countries, and this is shortly after glorifying China's leader to the level of a godly being amongst men. This is a level of bias that's sadly come to be expected of typical Chinese novels, and it's a real shame to see it rear it's ugly head in novels like these that I actually enjoy reading.

From the very moment I read the title I already knew that this was going to be another play on the "cats have nine lives" superstition.
