Davis has really bad trauma braight apon by his past life, him being a bit overly protecting and helpful to his parents make sense for the narrative. Davis isnt perfect and he makes mistakes, since he hs no parent figures or at least an incredibly abusive one in his past life it makes sense that he treats his parents now so loveingly. At least for me it keep things more authentic in my mind.
Its even better for him, iDk why everyone is so mad. His essence cultivation is im third leVel, his body is peak of 4th going to 5th at anytime. Seems like a waSte not to shore up his weakness. In fact i wish he has a soul inheritance. it is his specialTy.
Its not just the fact that the girls were practically raised ina greenhouse, even kids who were raised rougher would have a hard time imo, the culmination of a bunch of factors are at play but the main point is that all of the children were slaves and had nothing to lose. All they had was the determination to continue onward a forge a better future for themselves.
Hmm, at the very least he can nurture them to care fore his sect. Hopefully he can find some true young talents once he is more familiar with the alchemy “insert name here” I forgot. Either way it kinda feels bad having hik settle but just a little bit. It would be to convenient to run into a genius alchemy talent right before starting his sect.
Love how he chooses to navigate this world so far, he has his pride of a top expert and also the disdain for a mortal realm which stops him from interacting much with the world. At the same time he is forced to go at this pace by the system, which in turn forces him to go againt his ideals and “lower” himself to interact with the commen cultivation thing. Meanwhile not only is he like billions of years old, he was actually locked up for like millions of years so watching him slowly change and become apart of the events and people lives while trying to stay aloof is very entertaining to read about. It’s an interesting prospective that i feel a lot of novels try and use but end up not quite hitting the mark. Rant over
