Everyone is racist, other than that the novel is terrible because those three words are the entire story summed up.

A xianxia version of a companion/escort mission with the most annoying character to make it worse.

No issues with writing quality and grammar, but seemingly no effort was put into the dialogue or background. The names being announced, surname followed by the first name is one thing, and the constant addressing of random characters as sir is pretty damning.

The characters are terrible, the world background given can be summed up with one sentence with nothing else interesting to it. All of this is especially true at the start which should have been rewritten, because I have never ever read so many chapters which amounted to nothing or were so outside the realm of belief that it resembled a recently released marvel movie

Both the original novel and the translation can be summed up in one word, lazy.

Doesn't feel like there's any stakes, progression or story. Writing quality is subpar and I've not felt even the slightest bit of personality from any character.

The writing quality is a bit spotty, and it goes into the territory of compensating it using pure wish fulfillment with any roadblocks placed in the story seeming quite impulsive/placed into it without much thought and being solved easily.The fact is it shouldn't be rated above four stars with the plot and the writing quality being subpar and everything else being nothing exceptional, the fact that it is so highly rated is a shame. I'm very tempted to give only one star, to try and counter the overinflated and undeserved rating that it has because it is an affront to any novel actually deserving of such a score.

I have to say the reviews on this novel are very overhyped, the writing quality is ok with some small errors (lit instead of light for example). I don't have an issue with the main character's personality nor have I read enough chapters to know how the world building develops. However the reason for not reading more chapters is that I cannot get through the first ten, the writing feels juvenile more akin to a badly written marvel script (especially when he unlocks the system). It feels very chuunibyu-ish, which I guess makes sense since the main character is a teenager but doesn't really make for an interesting read. It's also cliché, in the way of going to an academy for I imagine the next 100-200 chapters when I feel an ability such as superspeed shouldn't be constrained to an area with all the possibilities it allows. The story might get better in later chapters, however you have to be able to get there/stomach it until then. Because if the beginning is boring with not too much worldbuilding, and an early issue which could have pushed the male leads character development (his father) is immediately removed then what makes this interesting or good.
